From Nazriya Fahadh to Shruti Haasan, more actresses back Nayanthara over Dhanush's Rs 10 crore lawsuit

Nazriya Fahadh and Shruti Haasan were among actresses who backed Nayanthara over her open letter against Dhanush's Rs 10 crore lawsuit

After Nayanthara's open letter slamming Dhanush over his Rs 10 crore lawsuit for using a behind-the-scenes footage of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her upcoming Netflix documentary, several actress from Tamil and Malayalam film industry have expressed support for her.

Shruti Haasan, who has worked with Dhanush in 3, liked Nayanthara's post. Parvathy Thiruvothu, who co-starred with him in Maryan, shared Nayanthara's post on her Instagram Stories.

Others who liked her post include Dhanush's Naiyaandi co-star Nazriya Fahadh, Vada Chennai co-star Aishwarya Rajesh, Kodi co-star Anupama Parameswaran, Jagame Thandiram co-star Aishwarya Lekshmi, Karnan co-star Gouri G Kishan and Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam co-star Manjima Mohan.

Nayanthara's Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale, will release on November 18. The documentary shows Nayanthara's beginnings in the Malayalam industry and how she became today's "lady superstar" in the Tamil industry.

In the open letter, the actress accused Dhanush of harbouring vengeance over the use of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan clips. She said she is a self-made woman with no links in Kollywood, pointing out that Dhanush's vengeful action not only affects her but also those who worked in the documentary.

Nayanthara said she tried to get a no-objection certificate from Dhanush for her Netflix documentary but had to settle for the current version. She said Dhanush has now demanded Rs 10 crore for a three-second video showing visuals captured on personal devices.
