After Nayanthara slammed Dhanush over his Rs 10 crore lawsuit fora three-second behind-the-scenes clip from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan produced by him, a video showing him praising the actress for doing a song in Ethir Neechal for free has resurfaced.
Nayanathara said she tried to get a no-objection certificate from Dhanush for using visuals from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan for two years but she was forced to go with the current version as he did not give permission. Her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, will release on November 18.

However, a day later, a resurfaced video showing Dhanush revealing that Nayanthara agreed to do Local Boys song in Ethir Neechal for free has gone viral. The movie produced by Dhanush was released in 2013. The music video featuring Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan saw Nayanthara making a special appearance.
In an interview, Dhanush says, "Nayanthara is a friend. She didn't even take money. We just asked her to come on board, she said, 'You are my friend, I won't take money from you.' She came and did it for free."
In her open letter, Nayanthara slammed Dhanush for not letting her use behind-the-scenes visuals shot on personal devices. "This is an all-time low from you and speaks so much about your character," she said.
Nayanthara said if it was due to business compulsions or monetary issues she would have understood but alleged that Dhanush was holding personal grudge against her and her husband Vignesh Shivan.
Vignesh has also responded to Dhanush's lawsuit by sharing a video, wherein Dhanush tells fans to spread love and positivity and find happiness in other people's happiness. "Nobody should hate another person. If you like somebody, celebrate with them. If you don’t like somebody, just move on," he says in the video.
Dhanush is yet to respond to Nayanthara's open letter. Several actresses including Dhanush's co-stars Shruthi Haasan, Nazriya Fahadh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Anupama Parameswaran, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Manjima Mohan and Gouri G Kishan have like her open letter. Parvathy Thiruvothu shared Nayanthara's post to her Instagram Stories.
