Cannes Grand Prix winner 'All We Imagine as Light' will hit the big screens in India this week; meanwhile, Netflix documentary 'Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale' released on the streaming platform on November 18

Dune: Prophecy, a series set thousands of years before the events of Denis Villeneuve's 2021 film Dune, will release on JioCinema this week. Musical film Wicked, starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will make its way to the theatre on November 22.

Based on American science fiction novel by Frank Herbert, Dune: Prophecy is set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atredies. Two sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen from the Sisterhood promise to put one of their own on the Imperial Throne, but they face a greater threat to their plan. Directed by Anna Foerster, the series stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Jodhi May, Mark Strong and Tabu.

Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale

A self-produced autobiographical documentary of the Lady Superstar, Nayanthara, takes us on a journey of her life. Her family life in Thiruvalla, Kerala, introduction into the film industry, dream wedding to director-producer Vignesh Shivan, and motherhood are topics which are explored. The documentary also addresses some of the controversies involving her and also includes archival footage.

Blitz

Set during World War II in London, nine-year-old George is evacuated to the countryside by his mother, Rita, during the Blitz, a German bombing campaign against the United Kingdom. Determined to get back to his family, George embarks on a journey back home. Directed by Steven McQueen, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Elliott Heffernan, Harris Dickinson, Benjamin Clementine, Kathy Burke, and Paul Weller.

Martin

Martin revolves around Lt. Brigadier Arjun Saxena, who takes on the task of fighting against black market dealers who are coordinating with terrorists to orchestrate massive terror attacks in the country. Arjun is also on a journey of self-discovery. Directed by A.P. Arjun, the film features Dhruva Sarja, Vaibhavi Shandilya, Anveshi Jain, Sukrutha Wagle, Achyuth Kumar and Nikitin Dheer.

The Piano Lesson

Set in 1936, in the aftermath of the Great Depression, The Piano Lesson is based on August Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name. It focuses on the Charles family, who struggle to make ends meets, decide the fate of a family heirloom, a piano, which is decorated with engravings by their ancestor. Directed by Malcolm Washington, the film stars Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, Ray Fisher, Michael Potts, and Erykah Badu.

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein: Season 2

Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein: Season 2 will pick up from where the previous season ended—the kidnapping of Purva, a politician's daughter. Vikrant, who desperately wants to start a new life with his lover Shikha, faces difficulties as Purva's obssession of Vikrant still looms over him. The Malayalam–Hindi feature film is about two roommates, Prabha and Anu, who are nurses. Prabha receives an unexpected package from her estranged husband that turns her life topsy-turvy. Anu, eager to be alone with her boyfriend, tries to find a private spot in the big city where she lives. Directed by Payal Kapadia, the film stars Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, Chhayam Kadam, Hridhu Haroon, and Azees Nedumangad.

I Want to Talk

This slice-of-life film follows the life of Arjun, a man who always looks at the brighter side of things no matter what, and his daughter Rhea. They lead a seemingly normal life until Arjun's medical diagnosis that would require a surgery which could alter his entire life. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Ahliya Bamroo, Jayant Kripalani, Johnny Lever and Pearle Maaney.

Mechanic Rocky

The academically weak Rocky, who aspires to be a civil engineer, takes over his father's mechanic shop after failing his exams. He decides to start a driving school for women, and soon, falls for two of the women he teaches. Rocky also faces issues when a powerful man becomes a threat to the garage. Sookshmadarshini

Manuel, who is well-received by everyone, moves back into his old home with his mother. Priyadharshini, his neighbour, suspects that Manuel is hiding something and decides to investigate along with her friends. This leads her to find more about her neighbour's true character. Directed by MC Jithin, the film stars Basil Joseph, Nazriya Fahadh, Pooja Mohanraj, Akhila Bhargavan and Deepak Parambol.

Wicked

Based on a 1995 novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire, which was later adapted into a hit Broadway play in 2003, Wicked follows the story of Elphaba and Glenda. Elphaba who is on her way to become the Wicked Witch of the West, is largely misunderstood for her green skin. She forges an unlikely friendship with Glenda, who wishes to be popular. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the film stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, and Bowen Yang.

Zebra

A bank employee lives a decent life until one bad decision -- he decides to run a scam for his family's betterment. When this leads to the bank's closure, he crosses path with a notorious money launderer, which puts him and his family in danger.
