AR Rahman's bassist Mohini Dey revealed her decision to split from her husband Mark Hartsuch the same day the musician and his wife Saira Banu announced their shocking divorce decision.
However, the timing of the two announcements led to rumours linking the two divorces. Now Mohini has denied the gossips, saying she has been getting several requests for interviews.
"...And I know exactly what it's about. I have to respectfully turn each one down because I am not interested in fuelling into ABSOLUTE BS," she wrote on Instagram, asking everyone ot respect her privacy.
Slamming the gossips, Mohini said her energy is not worth spending on rumours.
This comes after Rahman's legal team dismissed the allegations. Lawyer Vandana Shah said Rahman and Saira made the decision on their own and there is no truth to the rumours.
Rahman's son AR Ameen slammed the speculations, sharing a picture of a baby and Rahman. In the caption he wrote, "My father is a legend, not just for his incredible contributions, but for the values, respect and love he has earned over the years."
He added that he is disheartened by "false and baseless" rumours.
On the other hand, Mohini, while announcing her divorce, said she will continue collaborate on projects with her music composer husband.
"With a heavy heart, Mark and I announce that we have separated. First, as a commitment to our friends and family, this is a mutual understanding between us," the couple said a joint post.
