The highly anticipated Allu Arjun-starrer, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is gearing up for its big screen release, almost three years after the release of the well-received Pushpa: The Rise. On Sunday, an event was held in Chennai, ahead of the release of the song Kissik, featuring Sreeleela. The song was composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who, during the event, took a dig at producer Ravi Shankar for always complaining about the music production.

"Ravi sir, you've been blaming me saying that I didn't deliver the song or the background score on time. I know you love me. Where there is love, there are complaints as well. But, I think you have more complaints about me than love. Even now, I came to the venue 20-25 minutes ago. They asked me to wait to make an entry for the camera. I am shy. I am shameless only when I'm on stage. Off-stage, I'm the shyest person you'll meet. I could hear the song Kissik being played, so I came running. As soon as I arrived, you said, 'Wrong timing, sir. You're late'. What can I do?"
Devi Sri Prasad on Pushpa 2: The Rule
The music director, who could not hold back his excitement for the second instalment of the film, said, “You all celebrated Pushpa 1 as a festival after its release. For Pushpa 2, you have made it a festival even before the release. Thanks to all across the world for making Pushpa 1 a blockbuster. For everyone, God provides a great chance in their career. I got my peak with Pushpa 1, and I am excited for the second part.”
Prasad called the movie “the best film in recent times”. He praised Allu Arjun for his performance, lovingly calling him "Bunny", referencing the 2005 comedy of the same name, in which Arjun played the lead role and Prasad composed the music for. “I want to tell you one thing. I told it after watching the first half. Pushpa: The Rule will be the best film in recent times. I was mind-blown after watching the second half as well. Bunny, I have to tell you one thing in the presence of all of them here. You have shown your Viswaroopam (universal form) in the film. I am speaking as someone who watched cinema, fell in love with it, and came into the industry for the same. I am now talking as a cinema fan. Bunny, you have done a great job.”
Prasad is known for his musical contributions to films like Singam, Villu, Puli, Arya, Gabbar Singh, and many more. His recent works include the films Rathnam and Kanguva. Prasad will also be the music in-charge for Adhik Ravichandran's upcoming film Good Bad Ugly, slated for a January 2025 release, and Chandoo Mondeti's Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, and starring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwa, will hit the big screens on December 5.
