'Drops of God' wins Best Drama at the International Emmy Awards 2024

The 52nd International Emmy Awards took place on November 25, 2024, at the New York Hilton Midtown, in New York City. Vir Das made history by becoming the first Indian to host the award show. The comedian had won the 2023 International Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series for Vir Das: Landing.

"I am nervous but good. I am good nervous. I think if you don't want to throw up a little bit before a show, it's not going to be a good show. So, I am definitely in the zone," Vir said as reported by India Today.

This year, the award show featured nominees from 21 countries across 16 categories. Sandeep Modi's The Night Manager, a remake of British television series of the same name, was the only Indian nominee but lost to French drama Les Gouttes de Dieu (Drops of God).
