Mohanlal announces upcoming 2025 releases; check out when the superstar's next five films come out

Mohanlal only had one release this year so far, 'Malaikottai Vaaliban', which failed in the box office. His next film 'Barroz', which marks his directorial debut, will release on Christmas Day

Mollywood's favourite Mohanlal has appeared in over 300 films in a career spanning over four decades, and now the actor can add a few more to the list.

On Thursday, Antony Perumbavoor's production house, Aashirvad Cinemas, announced on all their social media handles the next few releases of the superstar. The video revealed that Mohanlal, who has one more release left for this year, will have four of his films released in 2025.

The video, captioned, “Sneak peek into our 2025 lineup”, featured the following films:

Barroz – December 25, 2024

Barroz, eyeing a Christmas release, will mark Mohanlal's directorial debut. The film will also star Paz Vega, Rafael Amargo, Shayla McCaffrey, Cesar Lorente Raton, and Guru Somasundaram.

Thudarum – January 30, 2025

This dramedy, directed by Tharun Moorthy, will also feature Binu Pappu, Irshad Ali, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Krishna Prabha, and Prakash Varma.

L2: Empuraan – March 27, 2025

Empuraan is the second instalment of the hit 2019 film Lucifer. Directed by and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film also stars Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Sachin Khedekar, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Fazil.

Hridayapoorvam – August 28, 2025

Described as an emotional storyline with hints of humour, Hridayapoorvam, directed by Sathyan Anthikad, will also feature Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sangeetha, and Sangeeth Prathap.

Vrushabha – October 16, 2025

Vrushabha is a Malayalam-Telugu film directed by Nanda Kishore. The film will also star Roshann Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, Zahrah S Khan, Ragini Dwivedi, and Srikanth Meka.

Mohanlal only had one release this year so far – Malaikottai Vaaliban. The film did not perform well in the box office and only earned an estimated Rs 30 crore against a Rs 65 crore budget.
