Bollywood couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have made a rare appearance together since rumours of their separation emerged in July. The couple, who were seen in matching black outfits, attended a party in Mumbai along with Aishwarya's mother, Brindiya Rai.
Film producer Anu Ranjan shared a photo posing with the family, much to the fans surprise. “Thank you ma'am for busting the myth,” one user wrote, while another commented, “It's a relief...may both of them always be together”.
Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar actress Ayesha Jhulka, who was present at the event, also shared a picture of taking a selfie with the Bachchan couple on her Instagram stories.
Rumours of Abhishek and Aishwarya's separation sparked when they arrived separately for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding in July. Though neither of them have commented on this, both have tried to put the rumours at rest.
More recently, it was assumed that Abhishek did not attend his daughter Aaradhya's 13th birthday party as he was noticabley absent from Aishwarya's Instagram posts of the day, but a video released by the event organisers showed that he was present for the event. Last week, at an event in Dubai, Aishwarya’s name appeared without the Bachchan surname, adding to the rumour mill.
Aishwarya Rai, crowned Miss World in 1994, married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. Before their marriage, they acted together in several films such as Dhoom 2, Kuch Naa Kaho and Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, to name a few.
