After failing to make their presence felt in 2024, Bollywood kids hope to crack the code this time around

These Bollywood kids have stayed in the public eye through their social media posts, but they are yet to make a mark on the big screen

actor-debut

We hoped to see them in action as we entered 2024. Even back then, they were "fresh faces" who were to make their debuts this year, but sadly, these newbies haven't yet been able to crack the code in Bollywood, even as their social media game has gone up several notches. They kept us hooked to our Instagram feeds, but none made a mark on the big screen or even on OTT platforms. Interestingly, most of them happen to be Bollywood kids, who continue to wait in the wings for their debuts to roll, even as they desperately try to remain in public consciousness via airport looks, expensive shoots and random product launches. As we enter 2025, we hope they have their time in the sun, even as scores of "fresh faces" keep joining the queue. Here are those whom we haven't tired of seeing on social media, but who we hope will go beyond and make their careers worthwhile before they lose out to those in the queue behind them.

Shanaya Kapoor

At the start of 2024, it was thought that Shanaya would make her debut with Vrushabha, opposite Mohanlal. She was also to be cast in a Dharma film titled Bedhadak, but neither took off. The latest development is that she is shooting with Vikrant Massey on Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan in Dehradun. Hopefully, this will mark Kapoor's Debut and we will get to see her on film sets, and not just inside the gym and outside restaurants.

Ibrahim Ali Khan

How do you ensure you constantly remain in the news even when you haven't had your first film release yet? If one were to follow Ibrahim Ali Khan, the answer would be: feed into the paps almost on a daily basis. Somehow, the pap culture seems to be working in Khan's favour, as he is photographed almost on a daily basis, even while running errands. Of late, he has been in the news for his reported relationship with Palak Tiwari, as the duo was pictured holidaying in Maldives, although separately. He was to be launched under Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions for a film directed by Kayoze Irani, son of noted actor Boman Irani in a film titled, Sarzameen which also has Kajol playing a crucial role in it. However, there has been no news on this front at all. Maybe 2025 is his year after all.

Ahaan Panday

Having reportedly been trained at YRF, Ananya Panday's cousin, Ahaan was to make his acting debut in the first half of 2024 but he is now looking forward to a release next year. The 26-year-old is looking to follow in his cousin's footsteps, and his dance moves at his sister Alanna Panday's wedding did bring him a good amount of spotlight. Now, how he keeps up the momentum as we get into the new year, remains to be seen.

Rasha Thadani

Rasha started out with a big bang at the start of her year, when she was introduced to us as the girl to watch out for. Following her mother Raveena Tandon's footsteps, Thadani was close to making a debut in the first half of the year with Abhishek Kapoor's untitled project, but that got shelved. She is now due to be seen in Ajay Devgn's upcoming film Azaad which features her alongside Ajay's nephew Aaman Devgan, exploring a family's bond with their horse in Pre-Independence India. Hopefully, this one goes through and Rasha can display her acting prowess just as well as she manages to enthrall her 1.3 million followers on social media.
