Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to become the quickest Indian film to earn Rs 1,000 crore gross. The Allu Arjun movie achieved this feat in just six days.
The Sukumar directorial raked in Rs 164.25 crore nett on its opening day on December 5. This was followed by Rs 93.8 crore on December 6, Rs 119.25 crore on December 7 and Rs 141.05 crore on December 8.
Pushpa 2 saw a dip in theatre-goers on Monday, December 9, with the movie raking in Rs 64.5 crore nett. On Tuesday, the movie bagged RS 52.5 crore nett.
The six-day nett collection of Pushpa 2 stood at Rs 645.95 crore. The Hindi version fared better than the Telugu version with Rs 370.1 crore nett against Rs 222.6 crore nett.
Coming to gross collection, Pushpa 2 raked in Rs 282.91 croree on Day 1, Rs 134.63 crore on Day 2, Rs 159.27 crore on Day 3, Rs 204.52 crore on Day 4, Rs 101.35 crore on Day 5 and Rs 80.74 crore on Day 6.
In five days, Pushpa 2 grossed Rs 922 crore, becoming the fastest to cross Rs 900 crore. RULING IN CINEMAS," posted Mythri Movie Makers, the production house behind the Allu Arjun movie.
If the trend continues, the movie is likely to cross Rs 1,000 crore on Day 6. Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan said Pushpa 2: The Rule will enter Rs 1,000 crore on December 11. "Pushpa 2 is now the FASTEST Indian film to achieve this HUMONGOUS milestone globally. Allu Arjun joins the elite club in style," he posted on X.
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise. It revolves around Pushpa Raj, who runs a sandalwood racket. Besides Allu Arjun, it also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. The movie will have a third part, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, with rumours suggesting that Vijay Devarakonda will join the cast.
