Selena Gomez is all smiles as she announces her engagement to songwriter Benny Blanco. The actor-singer took to her Instagram on Thursday morning to show off her massive oval-cut engagement ring, and captioned the post, “forever begins now..”, to which Blanco was quick to reply, “hey wait… that’s my wife.”
In the photos, Gomez is seen enjoying a picnic in a park – which was revealed to be a studio set on her Instagram stories – where Blanco most likely popped the question. The popstar appears ecstatic as she cuddles up with Blanco in the last picture in the post.
Many stars shared their congratulations under the post, The Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev writing, “YES!!!! Congratulations!!!!! So happy for you both!!!!” while singer-rapper Cardi B commented, “Waiiiitttt hold on,” followed by multiple heart emojis.
The couple confirmed their relationship in December 2023, though they had been dating six months prior, starting around the time of Gomez’s birthday – July 22. They made their first public red carpet-appearance at the 2024 Emmys in January.

When Stern said, “You are some boyfriend, you’re knocking it out the park. I see love here, I’m predicting marriage,” Blanco replied, “You and me both.”
Blanco, a record producer, has collaborated with multiple artists like Maroon 5, Calvin Harris, Rihanna, and Gomez’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, producing hit songs like Payphone, Moves like Jagger, Diamonds, Lonely, California Girls, and many more.
Gomez recently starred in the hit comedy-mystery show Only Murders in the Building and in the musical-thriller film Emilia Pérez, which bagged a whopping 10 Golden Globes nominations earlier this week.
