Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who was released on interim bail after spending a night in judicial custody, visited the residence of megastar Chiranjeevi. The former was granted bail after paying a personal bond of Rs 50,000.
Arrested on account of a stampede that caused the death of a woman at a theatre on the film's opening day, Allu Arjun was sent by a Telangana lower court to 14 days of judicial custody. His legal team challenged the ruling in the Telangana High Court, following which he was granted interim bail.
The actor's family members welcomed him in a dramatic scene reminiscent of that in a movie, while many celebrities offered support. Allu Arjun's Jubilee Hills residence witnessed the presence of his cousin and Chiranjeevi’s wife, Surekha, in addition to actors Rana Daggubati, Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Deverakonda, and Pushpa 2 director Sukumar.
Upon his release, Allu Arjun expressed gratitude for the immense support from family, friends, and fans. “I thank everyone for the love and support. I want to thank all my fans. There is nothing to worry about. I am fine. I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate. I would like to, once again, express my condolences to the family. It was an unfortunate incident. We are sorry for what happened,” he said.
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2: The Rule is continuing its successful run at the box office, having already grossed over Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
