Mrunal Thakur will be starring alongside Adivi Sesh in the upcoming thriller Dacoit. The film's makers confirmed it on Tuesday. Shaneil Deo directs the film from a script he co-wrote with Sesh. The announcement was made on the occasion of Adivi Sesh's 40th birthday.
As per reports, the official synopsis of Dacoit revolves around an angry convict seeking vengeance on his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him. "He devises a dangerous plan to trap her, setting the stage for an intense action drama driven by elemental forces - love, betrayal, and revenge."
Thakur is said to be replacing Shruti Haasan, who exited the project earlier over creative differences with the team.
Sesh is familiar to film buffs through Goodachari, Major, and Hit: The Second Case.
In an official statement, Adivi Sesh said, "Mrunal has brought some of the finest characters to life on the big screen, bringing a unique panache to each role. Her exceptional ability to elevate every character she portrays makes her truly remarkable. We are thrilled to welcome Mrunal to the 'Dacoit' team and eagerly await going head-to-head on the big screens."
