That’s a wrap on Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sky Force’!

The production wrapped up the shoot in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. 'Sky Force' is expected to release on January 24, during the Republic Day weekend

Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force has earned the title of one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of 2025. Now, the production has officially wrapped up the shoot in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, where a final song sequence was filmed.

Directors Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur took to their Instagram stories to share the news. Thanking the cast and crew, Kewlani, who also wrote the script for the film, posted, “I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who worked on Sky Force. The film was definitely a challenging one to bring to life, but it’s the dedication of the crew that made it possible.”

Kapur shared a photo of the crew on his story and wrote, “Can't thank each one who worked on Sky Force enough. This film was surely a difficult one to achieve. But its the crew which made it all happen.”

Other than Uttarakhand, this big-budget film was also shot in Mumbai, Lucknow, Sitapur, Amritsar, Hyderabad, Delhi, Pathankot, and the UK.

The storyline is inspired by India’s first airstrike on Pakistan during the 1965 Indo-Pak war. Other than Akshay, the film features a stellar cast including Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan, Sharad Kelkar, and Veer Pahariya. The action sequences of the film were choreographed by Craig Macrae, known for his work in Jawan, Pathaan, and also in the hit Hollywood film Mad Max: Fury Road.

The film is slated to release on January 24, 2025, coinciding with Republic Day weekend.
