Many were overjoyed to see the couple together, one user commenting, “Wow super happy for them, stay blessed both of you,” while another wrote, “Hope and pray they are still together”.

Though reactions are positive, many are not convinced that the pair has resolved their issues. “All for publicity,” one user wrote, while another commented, “Seems everything is well planned. Celebrities can do anything for the sake of limelight. Now, Abhishek Bachchan gained all the respect and sympathy automatically.”

Rumours of Abhishek and Aishwarya's separation sparked when they arrived separately for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding in July. Though neither of them have commented on this, both have tried to put the rumours at rest.

Aishwarya Rai, crowned Miss World in 1994, married Abhishek Bachchan in 2007. Before their marriage, they acted together in several films such as Dhoom 2, Kuch Naa Kaho, and Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, to name a few.

Other stars in attendance

The function was held at Dhirubhai Ambani School, Mumbai, founded by Nita Ambani, where most Bollywood stars enroll their children. Kareena Kapoor, and her sister Karishma, were also in attendance, along with couples Shahid and Mira Kapoor, and Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh.

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan attended the event, with his daughter Suhana, to watch his son AbRam perform. Khan was seen singing along to Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera from his film Swades, which was performed at the event.
