Hours after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy slammed Allu Arjun for the mishap in the Hyderabad stampede, the actor denied the allegations and said that it was purely an accident.

"There is a lot of misinformation that I behaved in a particular way. These are the wrong allegations. It's humiliating and a character assassination. There is a lot of misinformation going on, a lot of false allegations, especially character assassination," he told reporters.

Reddy had criticised the actor for holding a roadshow and waving to the crowds at the theatre. The 'Pusha 2' actor said that the allegations were false and it was not a procession or a roadshow.

Allu Arjun said that the death of the woman at Sandhta Theatre during the screening of 'Pushpa-2' in Hyderabad was an "unfortunate" incident.

There is a lot of misinformation, and false allegations are being made. I don't want to blame any department or politician. My character is being assassinated,” he said.
