A day after Hyderabad Police summoned Telugu actor Allu Arjun for interrogation in connection with the stampede death at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, videos began doing rounds on social media falsely claiming that the stampede occurred before the actor arrived at the theatre.

However, the video was flagged by the Hyderabad Police which warned that strict action will be taken against individuals who peddle misleading information.

A post by the Hyderabad Police on X said they had already presented the facts learned during the investigation into the incident before the public  and any attempt to post false information or videos would not be tolerated.

"It has come to our attention that some people posted false videos that a stampede had taken place before Allu Arjun arrived. The police department has already presented the facts learned during the investigation into this incident to the public in the form of a video. However, it has come to our attention that some people have deliberately posted videos on social media that were created to mislead people and show that a stampede had occurred before Arjun's arrival," the police said.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun reportedly got emotional when asked about the death of a woman in the stampede during the interrogation. The actor is said to have reiterated that he was unaware of the stampede or the woman's death, contrary to what the Hyderabad Police claimed. According to a Hyderabad police personnel, Allu Arjun was informed about the stampede but refused to leave the venue.

The police reportedly asked him 20 questions in three hours, including on events before and after the event.

On whether he was aware that the police had denied permission for the theatre visit, Allu Arjun said he wasn't informed of the same by the theater management. The police reportedly asked him whether he acknowledged that a life was lost in the stampede caused by people jostling to see him.

Allu Arjun got emotional when he spoke about the death of the woman and the serious injury sustained by the child, stating that "he was unaware of the fatality."

The actor is said to have stuck to his earlier statement throughout the interrogation.

Allu Arjun was also asked to provide all information about the bouncers involved in the incident after videos showed that 40-50 bouncers forcefully pushed fans inside the theatre, allegedly triggering the chaos.
