Argentina's police have requested Kate Cassidy's cooperation in their investigation into the tragic death of English singer Liam Payne. They have made it clear that they do not believe she is involved in any wrongdoings; they simply need the information she may have regarding the incident.
Liam Payne, 31, tragically died after falling from the third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur hotel in Argentina on October 16, 2024. The fall resulted in “multiple injuries” which ultimately led to his death. Several theories as to what caused the fall arose following the incident.
According to close sources, Payne went to Buenos Aires to renew his “O-1 non-immigrant” visa and was also there to visit his former bandmate Niall Horan, who was there on tour. Payne travelled there with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, an influencer whom he had been dating since 2022. However, Cassidy left the country before his fatal fall.
Cassidy, 25, has agreed to assist the authorities with their investigation.
A close source of the situation stated, “She is going to help in any way she can; she wants the right people to be brought to justice, and if that takes her answering their questions, she is going to do it.”
The same source also stated, “Anyone who provided drugs to Liam should be prosecuted.”
As of now, Cassidy is not under any investigation but will provide a witness statement to help uncover the truth behind Payne's death and ensure justice is served.
