Actor Manoj Bajpayee announced on Saturday that he has wrapped up filming the third season of his immensely popular series The Family Man.

The actor shared the update as an Instagram story, with the caption: "Shooting wrapped!! For 'Family Man 3'! Aur thoda intezar..."

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK created and directed the series, which they co-wrote with Suman Kumar.

An espionage-centric action thriller series backed by Amazon Prime Video, the new season will see Bajpayee reprise his character Srikant Tiwari, a "middle-class guy and a world-class spy," and bring back other original cast members Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Ashlesha Thakur, and Vedant Sinha.

The new season will have Srikant confronting newer threats to national security while trying to juggle his family and professional life, and repairing whatever dents he may have caused in the process.

The official logline says, "As Srikant races against time, the stakes escalate as he needs to outmanoeuvre a formidable adversary and protect his country and its sovereignty."

The first season of The Family Man debuted on Prime Video, met with an immensely warm reception, followed by another exciting season, featuring Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Bajpayee was last seen in Kanu Behl's Despatch, a journalism drama in which he played an unscrupulous newspaperman desperate to break a crucial story while trying to navigate a turbulent personal life. It is streaming on Zee5.

Recently, Bajpayee hinted that he is trying to reunite with his Satya director Ram Gopal Varma for a new project. Meanwhile, the cult 1998 gangster classic is gearing up for a re-release on Jan 17, 2025.
