Fateh

A man with a dark past and a woman with incredible hacking skills—the two of them are brought together on a dangerous, thrilling mission to protect a young girl threatened by a mafia syndicate. Based on real-life instances, this action-packed film, directed by Sonu Sood, stars himself, Jacqueline Fernandez and Vijay Raaz.

Sitaare Zameen Par

After the heart-warming Taare Zameen Par, which was an eye-opener, especially to many Indian parents, Aamir Khan and Darsheel Safary return in Sitaare Zameen Par, a sports drama with a similar theme. Unlike the former film which was directed by Aamir Khan, the upcoming one is directed by R. S. Prasanna. ‘It is a very entertaining film’, Aamir Khan mentions in an interview. It is based on the Spanish movie, Champions. The release date has not been specified yet, but it will hit theatres sometime in 2025.

Deva

Violence, action, mystery, thriller—this movie has them all. The film is directed by Rosshan Andrrews, and starring Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati. Deva (played by Shahid Kapoor) is an adept, defiant police officer investigating a high-profile mysterious case of murder. There’s corruption, deception and treachery, and he has to team up with Diya, a daring journalist—who is also his love interest—in order to uncover the truth behind it all.

Sky Force

There are some forgotten tales of war, forgotten men of valour. Perhaps you haven’t even heard of the untold stories of the Indo-Pakistan air war of 1965, or India’s earliest and most dangerous airstrike. Based on a true story, Sky Force is a reminder of one of IAF’s greatest triumphs. The Indian Air Force officer is played by Akshay Kumar and other actors starring are Nimrat Kaur and Sara Ali Khan, in this film directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani.

Emergency

On June 25, 1975, The ‘darkest hour’ of ‘free’ India began. The Emergency period saw a cessation of democracy during the ‘reign’ of Indira Gandhi. Based on the harrowing historical event that resulted in chaos, forced sterilization and whatnot, the biopic is an action drama directed, co-produced, and written by Kangana Ranaut, who also plays the lead character — former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi — and also stars Anupam Kher and Mahima Chaudhry.

Lahore 1947

August 14, 1947 was a painful, disconcerting day. Lahore 1947, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan, stars Aamir Khan, Ali Fazal, Sunny Deol and Preity G Zinta. This action film with a historical theme is set against the backdrop of the devastating Partition era. The music is composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman. It is a highly anticipated project expected to be released in 2025.

Azaad

Here’s a plot that seems different from the usual Indian historical dramas. A country fighting for freedom and a boy’s bond with his horse. Azaad, set in the 1920s, explores themes of loyalty and courage, focusing on the relationship between Govind, a stable boy, and his noble horse in the face of terror and unrest. Aman Devgan makes his debut in this film, acting alongside his uncle, Ajay Devgn and Diana Penty. The movie is directed by Abhishek Kapoor, who has also directed other hits like Kai Po Che, Fitoor and Kedarnath.

Loveyapa

An apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, it would seem—and so Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, children of celebrated actors Aamir Khan and the late Sridevi, respectively, come together in the forthcoming romantic drama, Loveyapa. Let’s hope their chemistry turns this movie into a blockbuster. The film, directed by Advait Chandan, also stars Shahid Kapoor.

Param Sundari

Interethnic love is in the air. They say opposites attract, so here we find ourselves, watching the love story of a North Indian guy and a South Indian gal, growing in a romantic tale directed by Tushar Jalota. The lead roles are played by Sidharth Malhotra (as Param) and Janhvi Kapoor (as Sundari) in this comedy-drama. The movie is filmed in the enchanting beauty of ‘God’s own country’. It is produced by Dinesh Vijan's production company Maddock Films.
