In a development that has excited fans of Manjummel Boys and Aavesham, it has been announced that Chidambaram, the writer-director of Manjummel Boys and Jithu Madhavan, the writer-director of Aavesham, will be collaborating on a project backed by KVN Productions and Thespian Films.
Chidambaram will direct the yet-untitled film from a script by Jithu. In a press release, no other details were divulged except that it will be a "spectacle". The film's genre and cast are yet to be announced.
In a statement, Chidambaram said, "I'm thrilled to work with a team that shares my passion for storytelling. It's a collaboration I am looking forward to. I can't wait to bring this vision to life."
Jithu shared that the script is "close to my heart, and with the support of such a stellar team, I am sure we will make something good."
Manjummel Boys and Aavesham were among the top 5 blockbusters from Malayalam cinema in 2024.
The project marks KVN Productions' maiden Malayalam cinema venture.
Sharing the update on their social media handles, KVN Productions wrote, "We are thrilled to work with a team that shares the passion for storytelling. This collaboration is something we were looking forward to, can't wait to bring this vision to life."

KVN Productions founder Venkat K. Narayana said the studio aims to redefine cinema across languages.

A Bengaluru-based production house, KVN Productions commenced operations in 2021 with the Kannada film Sakath, directed by Simple Suni.
The banner is currently engaged in the production and distribution duties of the highly anticipated Yash-starrer Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, and Vijay's upcoming Tamil film helmed by H. Vinoth, titled 'Thalapathy 69'.
KVN Productions has also distributed recent Kannada hits such as the Rakshit Shetty films 777 Charlie and Sapta Saagaradaache Ello (Side A and B), in addition to Kalki 2898 AD and Devara: Part 1.
