After Kishkindha Kaandam, actors Asif Ali and Aparna Balamurali are reuniting for the 6th time in Jeethu Joseph's next film, titled Mirage.
It also marks Asif's reunion with the director after their hit thriller Kooman, in which the actor played a police officer with a hidden personality.
Mirage would also mark Jeethu's second film with Aparna after Mr and Ms Rowdy.
While details of the genre and remaining cast members are unclear, one hopes Mirage will be another unique and thrilling experience with interesting twists.
The screenplay of Mirage comes from the combined creative collaboration of Jeethu and Srinivas Abrol, who penned the Hindi thriller series Abhay starring Kunal Kemmu from a story by Aparna R. Tarakad.
Director of photography Satheesh Kurup, who shot Jeethu's Drishyam 2, 12th Man, Kooman and Neru, will be cranking the camera while VS Vinayak handles editing duties. The songs and original score are being composed by Vishnu Shyam, and Prashanth Madhav is in charge of production design.
E4 Experiments, Naad Sstudios, and Seven One Seven Productions are jointly bankrolling the film, which is expected to start rolling soon.
Meanwhile, a new Asif Ali-led investigative thriller, Rekhachithram, hits theatres on January 9. The actor, who is back in a cop avatar again after donning the same in Jis Joy's Thalavan last year, joins Anaswara Rajan and Manoj K Jayan in the movie directed by Jofin T. Chacko, who made his directorial debut with the Mammootty-starrer The Priest.
