Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken significant steps to enhance security at his Mumbai abode by installing high-resolution CCTV cameras and barricading his Galaxy Apartment balcony with bulletproof glass. This action comes after shots were fired at the actor's house last April, causing concern for his family’s safety, who reside a floor above him.

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor has been travelling with beefed-up security since the death of his close friend and politician Baba Siddique, who was assassinated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang has had a target on Khan’s back ever since the Blackbuck shooting case in 1998. Blackbuck is considered a sacred animal in the Bishnoi community.

The gang has not held back on threatening the actor ever since. Lawrence Bishnoi’s younger brother, Anmol Bishnoi, took responsibility for the April shooting of the actor’s residence. He is also the key accused in the death of Baba Siddique. He has been detained in the US. Mumbai police has claimed in its chargesheet that Khan’s close ties with the politician are what led to his assassination.

Reportedly, the security on the set of Bigg Boss, where Khan serves as a host, has also ramped up. Khan is currently gearing up for the release of his new film Sikandar, scheduled to hit the big screens on Eid.
