On the occasion of Yash's birthday on January 8, the makers of his highly anticipated Toxic released an update, in the form of a small teaser footage that presents the KGF actor in his most stylish form.
In a clip from the beautifully shot film that gives off a strong retro vibe, Yash makes his grand entry in a vintage automobile straight out of the 1940s. Accompanied by bodyguards, the flamboyantly dressed, cigar-smoking man enters a colourful nightclub where a high-voltage party seems to be in full swing. It becomes immediately apparent that his character is a ladies' man.
Produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash himself under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is helmed by Malayali actor-turned-director Geetu Mohandas.
The team behind Toxic has been so far doing a terrific job of keeping any story and character details from leaking out. Geetu Mohandas had once expressed her wish to make a gangster film, and from the looks of this clip, Toxic seems to be one. And given Geetu's previous work, it's also expected to be something that goes against conventions.
The film's cryptic tagline, "His untamed presence is your existential crisis," hints at an experience that balances spectacle and character drama.
Geetu made her directorial debut in 2012 with Liar's Dice, an independent film which won numerous accolades in various film festivals. She followed it up with Moothon in 2019, starring Nivin Pauly, Roshan Mathew, and Sobhita Dhulipala. For his performance in the film, Nivin Pauly won a Special Mention award at the Kerala State Film Awards.
