'NaaNaa Hyraanaa' song from ‘Game Changer’ removed; audiences disappointed

It is said to be the first Indian number to be shot on camera with an infrared lens, which captures light visible beyond the light spectrum

'NaaNaa Hyraanaa', featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani

S. Shankar’s Telugu entertainer ‘Game Changer’ was released on the big screen on Friday, and theatres were packed with eager fans. However, to the crowd’s disappointment, the song ‘NaaNaa Hyraanaa’, which quickly became popular on various music platforms soon after its release, has been edited out of the film for the time being due to technical complications.

The song is said to be the first Indian number to be shot on camera with an infrared lens, which captures light visible beyond the light spectrum, revealing a world normally not visible to us, thus making it a visual curiosity. Meanwhile, they are working hard to rectify the issues so that the song may be reinserted into the movie by January 14, 2025, for the audience to have a more enjoyable experience.

The Game Changer official X account posted a message for the viewers: “Everyone's favourite, #NaanaaHyraanaa | #Lyraanaa | #JaanaHairaanSa has been edited out due to technical challenges encountered during the processing of infrared images in the initial prints. Rest assured, we are diligently working towards adding the song back in the missing content, which will be available starting January 14th."

The chartbuster was filmed against the breathtaking backdrop of New Zealand and about a hundred Russian dancers came over for the shooting of the song, which explains why the musical arrangement has been much-awaited. The audio track of ‘NaaNaa Hyraanaa’ — sung by Ramajogayya Sastry, Thaman S, Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal — was released on November 28, 2024.

Starring Ram Charan (fondly called ‘Mega Power Star’), Kiara Advani and Sankalpa Banerjee, and produced by Dil Raju, this political action thriller exposes the corruption that thrives within Indian politics. Ram Nandan (played by Ram Charan) is an IAS officer determined to see trustworthy elections and a corruption-free country, and, in the process, comes into conflict with the chief minister.

Fans of the famed Indian actor and producer flocked to theatres hoping for a meaningful comeback of their ‘Mega Power Star’ after a short break. So far, the movie has received mixed reviews from the audience.

Some of the other tracks in the soundtrack include ‘Jaragandi’, ‘Raa Macha Macha’ and ‘Dhop’.
