Warner Bros India reveals 2025's theatrical release slate

The Hollywood giant is reportedly coming out with the highest number of theatrical releases in India this year compared to other studios

Hollywood studio Warner Bros has announced the upcoming slate of movies releasing in Indian theatres in 2025. 

Among the big titles are James Gunn's Superman, Bong Joon-Ho's Mickey 17 and Ryan Coogler's Sinners. While releasing the list, the banner informed that they are coming out with the highest number of theatrical releases in India this year compared to other studios.

The list mentions the studio's films that will be released from March 2025 onwards, beginning with Bong Joon-Ho's Mickey 17, set to be released on March 7. Starring Robert Pattinson, the English-language film sees the much-celebrated Korean filmmaker behind the Oscar-winning Parasite returning to the sci-fi genre after Okja

"We're incredibly proud to present such a dynamic and exciting slate of films for 2025. Working with some of the most talented filmmakers in the world, we're bringing powerful stories and unforgettable characters to the big screen," said Denzil Dias, Vice President and managing director of India theatrical, Warner Bros.

"From epic blockbusters to thrilling horrors, heartwarming family adventures to compelling dramas, our diverse lineup from Warner Bros. Discovery and Universal Pictures offers something for every audience across all ages and genres. This lineup is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional cinematic experiences for Indian audiences," he added.

Other titles include: A Minecraft Movie, starring Jason Momoa and Jack Black, releasing on April 4, and Sinners, starring Michael B Jordan, set for an April 18 release. 

The sixth entry in the popular horror franchise Final Destination titled Final Destination: Bloodlines will hit screens on May 16. Brad Pitt's racing drama F1, from director Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick, Oblivion) is slated for a June 27 release. 

James Gunn's eagerly anticipated Superman, starring David Corenswet as the titular superhero, will arrive on July 11. The final Conjuring film The Conjuring: Last Rites is reserved for September 5. 

The others are The Bride, starring Christian Bale, on September 26, Ryan Reynolds and Jason Momoa-led Animal Friends on October 10, and Mortal Kombat II on October 24.

The studio will release Universal Picture titles from Universal Pictures including Steven Soderbergh's espionage thriller Black Bag, starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender, on March 14, and the new How to Train Your Dragon, the live-action remake of the animated hit, on June 13. 

M3GAN 2.0 will be released on June 27 and Jurassic World: Rebirth on July 4.

The August releases are: The Bad Guys 2 (August 1), Nobody 2 (August 22), and Downton Abbey 3 (September 12).

Warner Bros Pictures will also release titles from Universal Pictures such as Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, with Renee Zellweger, on February 14; Sean Baker's Anora on February 21 and Brady Corbet's The Brutalist on February 28.

They also plan to release the musical drama Michael on October 2, Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie On October 17, the Wicked sequel Wicked: For Good on November 21 and Five Nights at Freddy's 2 on December 5.
