About The Devil in the White City

The Devil in the White City is based on Erik Larson’s 2003 true crime book The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America. Set in Chicago during the 1983 Chicago World's Fair, the novel reiterates the story of Daniel Burnham, an architect, eager to make a mark in the industry, and H. H. Holmes, a serial killer disguised as a doctor. Holmes is considered to be the first serial killer in the United States.
