Discussing the film’s production, the star shared, "I’m not just shooting it here, I'm shooting it in Mumbai when I go back in about a couple of months. My director, Siddharth Anand, is very strict. He made Pathaan. So he is very strict. He said, 'Don't tell people about the film, what you are doing in it.' So I can't tell you but I can assure you it will entertain you, you will have fun. I've used many titles,” the actor said, while listing out films that he has appeared it. “Now we have run out of titles...Now Shah Rukh Khan as Shah Rukh Khan in King. That was a bit of a show-off," he joked.
The actor energised the Global Village stage with dance performances to Chaiyya Chaiyya from his 1998 film Dil Se, Jhoome Jo Pathaan from Pathaan (2023), and Chammak Challo from Ra. One (2011). He also recreated dialogues from Jawan, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and Baazigar, and even recreated his iconic arms-open pose with an instrumental of Thuje Dekha Tu from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge playing in the background.
King is eyeing a 2026 release and is rumoured to feature his daughter Suhana Khan, along with Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist.
