On Wednesday night, the makers of Salman Khan's upcoming film Sikandar announced that a teaser for the film would be released at 3:33 pm on Thursday, and they kept their word. A second teaser was dropped today, giving the audiences further glimpses of Khan in and as Sikandar.
While the first teaser, released two months ago in December, showcased only one action sequence of Khan battling masked samurais, the second teaser offers much more, proving that the A.R. Murugadoss directorial will be an action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller. Khan delivers dialogue in the 1-minute-21-second teaser, revealing that his grandmother bestowed the name Sikandar upon him, while people refer to him as “raja”.
The teaser also introduces Rashmika Mandanna as his love interest. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Kishore. Earlier this month, Khan shared another poster for his character, sporting a menacing look. An earlier released poster shows Sikandar dressed in a suit, a spear his weapon of choice.
Made on a reported budget of Rs 400 crore, the film is bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, who brought to the big screens films like Chhichhore, Super 30, Housefull and many more. This is not the production house’s first collaboration with Khan. They have been a strong team since 1996, bringing out flicks like Jeet (1996), Judwaa (1997), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), and Jaan-E-Mann (2006).
Sikandar, aiming for an Eid 2025 release, will be Khan’s first feature film release since starring in Tiger 3 (2023), aside from cameos in Singham Again and Baby John.
