Indian cinema stole the show at the 18th edition of the Asian Film Awards. The ceremony, held on Monday at the Xiqu Centre in Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District, saw Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine as Light take home the big prize – Best Film.
Santosh director was honoured with the Best New Director award, while the lead actor of her film, Shahana Goswami, won Best Actress. It was a disappointing night for South Korean film Exhuma, who, though they managed to sweep a whopping eleven nominations, only managed to clinch one award – Best Visual Effects.
