Raina faced backlash when during an episode of his show India's Got Latent, one of the guest judges, Ranveer Allahbadia, made a lewd comment on parental sex. He asked: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?"

His comments created a media storm, leading to legal action against Raina, Alahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and Jaspreet Singh, with cases filed with the Mumbai and Assam police, along with the National Commission for Women (NCW). All we summoned for questioning.

Allahbadia later apologised for his comments, clarifying that he had no intention to use his public platform to make the racy comments. “My comment wasn't just inappropriate; it wasn't even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I'm just here to say sorry... I personally had a lapse in judgment. It wasn't cool on my part,” he said.

Raina was in the United States when the incident unfolded. He expressed his intention to fully cooperate with the investigation. Raina also deleted all episodes of India's Got Latent from his YouTube channel.
