Sonali Sood, the wife of actor Sonu Sood, has reportedly been injured in a major highway accident. According to Hindustan Times, Sonali, her sister-in-law, and her nephew were all in the car when the accident happened on the Mumbai-Nagpur highway. The nephew was driving the car. Sonali’s sister-in-law escaped with only minor injuries.
The crash occurred on the night of March 24, with Sonali and her nephew being rushed to Max Hospital in Nagpur. A source informed the publication that Sonu rushed to the hospital on receiving the news and has been by her side since last night. A spokesperson for the actor confirmed, “Yes, Sonali has met with an accident. Sonu is currently unavailable."
Hospital officials have disclosed that Sonali and her nephew will be under constant observation and medical care for the next 48-72 hours. Further details are awaited.
Sonali, who hails from the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, tied the knot with Sonu in 1996. The couple share two sons, Ayaan and Ishant. Unlike many Bollywood couples, they keep a low profile out in public as well as on social media.
According to Bollywood Shaadis, the pair met during their college days – Sonu studying engineering and Sonali pursuing an MBA. The couple met and tied the knot years before Sonu shot found fame in modelling and acting, making his cinematic debut in 1999 in the Tamil film Kallazhagar.

More recently, the pair collaborated in Sonu’s directorial debut Fateh, a film he also penned and stars in. Sonali was credited as one of the producers of the film.
