The Healthy Indian Project (THIP) was recognised as the Best Health Literacy Platform at the Atal Samman Samaroh 2024 and presented the award by the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs in Delhi on Monday.

Neelam Singh, editor of THIP, said that the platform was dedicated to bridging the gap in health information and empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their well-being.
The award event was organised by the TopNotch Foundation, a market research company.
Besides Tokhan Sahu, Raksha Khadse, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports was also present at the ceremony.
Combating health misinformation and ensuring equitable access to health literacy resources is a crucial need in India’s healthcare ecosystem.
THIP is registered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. It is an official signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), and is certified by the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI). It is also a member of the WHO Vaccine Safety Net.
One of its products is RAKSHA which is a WhatsApp fact-checking chatbot which acts as a health information verification tip line where users can ask questions or submit a piece of information to be fact-checked.
