As the BJP stepped up its 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed his name on his Twitter profile to 'Chowkidar' Narendra Modi. Other BJP leaders, including Amit Shah, Piyush Goyal and Ravi Shankar Prasad also followed suit and changed their name on the social media platform.

Narendra Modi tweeted a video of the BJP's campaign and added “every Indian is saying-#MainBhiChowkidar”. He mentions that he is not alone in the fight against corruption as common people have also taken steps to become 'chowkidar'.
“Your Chowkidar is standing firm & serving the nation. But, I am not alone. Everyone who is fighting corruption, dirt, social evils is a Chowkidar. Everyone working hard for the progress of India is a Chowkidar. Today, every Indian is saying-#MainBhiChowkidar”
