How to knock the upcoming RRB exam out of the park?

RRB JE or the examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board is one of the most sat for exams in the entire country. Every year, thousands of aspirants prepare and perish, while a chosen few are able to get through the written exam, before moving the next 3 phases of CBT, Document, and Medical verification.

However, in order to go through those later stages, you need to prepared to clear the first stage of CBT, which in itself can be a daunting task for many. So, we are sharing a list of all the major sections that appear in the exam section in the hope that the preparation tips for each of these sections allow you to clear the exam.

Mathematics

Mathematics is widely considered to be the subject that haunts the students across the globe, not just the people who are sitting for this exam. In order to prepare for this section, we would want you to keep a clearly focused mind on what your strengths are, and practice a lot. Since there is negative marking in the CBT exam, you need to ensure that all the questions that you are doing are absolutely correct, and hence if you are unsure of a topic like Algebra or Numbers, then we would rather suggest that you focus on your stronger topics to make sure that at least the questions in those topics fetch you the maximum possible results.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

The next 3 sections basically test your reading ability and how much knowledge you can retain while applying common sense in the questions. Once again, you would have to practice a lot, but these questions are the easiest of the bunch as you would normally have to find the odd one out and figure out the relationship between 2 different entities, or apply the same relationship to a different set altogether. All in all, this is easily the most scoring subject of the entire paper.

General Awareness

When it comes to General Awareness, we would suggest that you hog newspapers and general knowledge books like a thirsty man at a well. There is absolutely no doubt regarding the questions here, as they are either correct or incorrect, and within a few seconds, you would be able to determine the difference between the two. So, read as much as you can on this section, as it can fetch you a lot of marks in a very short span of time.

General Science

If you are unsure about this section, then this exam isn’t for you. The second stage of CBT tests this more thoroughly, and this is just a basic precursor to that. We would suggest that you line up your old Science books and give them an end to end reading while solving the numericals, as this would help you not only for this round, but for the next one as well.

If you follow all this tips, then we are sure that you would be able to clear the first round of the CBT exam. However, we would also suggest following up on the RRB JE exam forums as they would keep you updated on the exam pattern, and if there are any changes to it, not to mention, any tips that you could possibly use for the exam.
