Former foreign affairs minister Sushma Swaraj passed away last night. She suffered a cardiac arrest and was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in critical condition on Tuesday night. The senior BJP leader, who added a touch of humanity to the ministry of eternal affairs will be cremated at Lodhi road crematorium with full state honours.

Ayodhya case day-to-day hearing

Yesterday Nimrohi Akhara said that Muslims had not been allowed to pray at the site since 1934 and only Hindus have been allowed to offer prayers. A five-judge Constitution bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, and comprising justices S.A. Bopde, D.Y. Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S. Abdul Nazeer will continue the hearing.

Trump expected to visit El Paso, Dayton

After a massive shootout that killed more than 20 people at El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, President Trump announced that he will visit these sites. Communities ath both places however have asked the President not to come. “Will be going to Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas, tomorrow to meet with First Responders, Law Enforcement, and some of the victims of the terrible shootings,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Tuesday evening.
