Eid celebrations and restrictions in Kashmir

Monday is Eid-ul Adha. And ahead of the festival in Kashmir, banks, ATMs and quite a few markets remained open on Sunday and restrictions were eased allowing people to come out to shop, while residents would be permitted to offer prayers in neighbourhoods mosques on the festival. Administration said steps were being taken so that food is available and people can celebrate the festival conveniently.

Taj Mahal entry to be free for 3 hours on Monday

As an Eid special treat, tourists planning to visit the Taj Mahal will be able to visit the monument for free, said the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Free entry will be allowed only for three hours, from 7 am to 10 am. After this, regular entry fee will be charged.
