CPI(M)'s T.P. Ramakrishnan wins from Perambra

Incumbent minister defeats UDF's C. H. Ibrahimkutty by over 4,000 votes

Incumbent CPI(M) MLA T.P. Ramakrishnan has won from Perambra in Kozhikode as counting progresses in the Kerala assembly polls. Ramakrishnan is the current minister of labour and excise in the Pinarayi Vijayan cabinet. 

He won by 6,173 votes against UDF's C. H. Ibrahimkutty.

Ramakrishnan first represented Perambra in the Kerala Assembly from 2001 to 2006. He was elected by a margin of 4,101 votes in 2016.
