Kerala: Trains including Jan Shatabdi Express cancelled due to poor patronage

Four trains from Kerala including the Jan Shatabdi Express were cancelled due to poor patronage amid the second wave of COVID-19.

Venad Express, Vanchinad Express, Guruvayur - Thiruvananthapuram Intercity, Ernakulam - Kannur Intercity, Alappuzha - Kannur Executive, Punalur - Guruvayur Passenger, Malabar Express, Chennai - Alappuzha Express, Kozhikode - Thiruvananthapuram Janashathabdi, Kochuveli-Mangalore Antyodaya Express, and Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram weekly train have also been cancelled till June 15.

The Kerala government on Saturday announced one more week extension of the statewide lockdown till June 9, to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The state has been under lockdown since May 8.
