Bengaluru to face major water shutdown, these areas will be affected

The shutdown is due to repair works to arrest leaks at the TK Halli pumping station

Several parts in the city of Bengaluru will face a water shutdown on 12 and 13 September due to emergency repair works at TK Halli. The areas affected will be Gandhinagar, Kumara Park East, Vasanthanagar, High Grounds, Sampangiramnagar, CKC Garden, KS Garden, Town Hall, Lalbagh Road, Infantry Road, Shivajinagar, and surrounding areas.

Other areas, that will be affected include Cox Town, Doddigunta, Jeevanahalli, Vivekanand Nagar, Hutchins Road and surrounding areas. DJ Halli, Pillanna Garden, KG Halli, Nagawara, Samadha Nagar, Pillanna Garden-1st,2nd, 3rd stage, Srinagar, Banashankari 1st Stage, Yeshwanthpur, Malleshwaram, LB Shastri Nagar, LIC Colony, HAL 3rd stage, Jeevanbhimanagar, Kodihalli. Hanumanthappa Layout, Bazaar Street, Ulsoor, M V Garden, Murphy Town, Jogupalya, and surrounding areas will be affected too.

BWSSB said that the shutdown is due to repair work to arrest leakages in the 1750 mm transmission main pumping station at the TK Halli.
