Noida-based company's 'non-lethal weapons' to take on Chinese army leave internet in splits

These are inspired by the traditional weapons of India, says CTO of the company

non-lethal

A Noida-based company has come out with a claim that it has developed non-lethal weapons—'Trishul' and 'Sapper Punch'—to counter the clubs and tasers used by the Chinese Army during the confrontation in Galwan Valley last year.

Mohit Kumar, chief technology officer of the firm named Apastron, in an ANI video claims that the weapons developed by the company makes the enemy “temporarily ineffective” in case of violent confrontations.

He said the non-lethal weapons are inspired by the traditional weapons of India and added that the Trishul could be used for attacking the enemy and to puncture vehicles.

Kumar said the Trishul and 'Sapper Punch', that can be worn like a glove, discharge electricity and can be highly effective during hand-to-hand combat.

However, the internet was barely able to contain its mirth.

The weapons have inspired several memes and comparison with superhero characters.
