NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik on Wednesday tweeted more images to substantiate his claim NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede was a Muslim.
Malik has made accusations against Wankhede on a near-daily basis since the NCB officer carried out a raid resulting in the arrest of Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, on October 2.
On Monday, Malik had alleged Wankhede had been born a Muslim and had married a Muslim woman in 2006. Malik alleged Wankhede's real name was Sameer Dawood Wankhede. Wankhede responded to both charges by issuing a statement in which he said his mother was a Muslim and his first marriage, to Drr Shabana Qureshi, was a civil ceremony under the Special Marriage Act. Wankhede said he and Shabana divorced in 2016.
On Wednesday, Malik shared a photograph of Wankhede and Qureshi, purportedly from their marriage ceremony. He also shared an image of the Nikah Nama (marriage certificate) of Qureshi and Wankhede.
In the certificate, dated 7/12/2006, the bridegroom's name is listed as Sameer Dawood Wankhede. Malik wrote the Nikah "was performed between Sameer Dawood Wankhede and Sabana Qureshi at Lokhand Wala complex, Andheri (west) mumbai".
He claimed the Meher (bride price) amount for the marriage was Rs 33,000. Malik tweeted the second witness for the marriage was "Aziz Khan Husband of Yasmin Dawood Wankhede elder sister of Sameer Dawood Wankhede".

Malik declared his opposition to Wankhede was not related to religion. He tweeted, "I want to make it clear that the issue i am exposing of Sameer Dawood Wankhede is not about his religion. I want to bring to light the fraudulent means by which he has obtained a caste certificate to get an IRS job and has deprived a deserving Scheduled Caste person of his future."
On Wednesday, Malik told a press conference that the NCB was evasive about a letter he had submitted. The letter, purportedly from an agency employee, had accused Wankhede of extortion and other activities. Malik was quoted by ANI as saying, "They [NCB] first said they will intervene, by evening they said since the letter had no signature or name, hence no intervention. But given the allegations in the letter, if you still overlook, it raises questions on the entire institution."
Malik said, "NCB kept saying it probes on the basis of electronic evidence... I demand the vigilance committee get Call Detail records of Sameer Wankhede, Prabhakar Sail, Kiran Gosavi and Wankehde's driver Mane. If electronic probe is done, everything will be clear."
