he Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has scrapped Rapid RT-PCR requirement for Indians travelling to UAE with immediate effect.

Passengers from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan who have completed two doses of Covid-19 vaccinations are exempted from producing RT-PCR test report.

Meanwhile, airfares to Dubai from India have gone up by 20 to 30 percent. Cost of return tickets from Mumbai, Delhi and Kochi increased by Dh200 to touch Dh800.

This is a huge relief for UAE-bound travellers who were needed to show a negative Covid test done not more than 48 hours before departure.

As of now the excemption is applicable only passengers flying to Dubai airport. No such orders have been issued from Sharjah or Abu Dhabi aviation authorities.
