Trinamool Congress father daughter duo Churchill Alemao and Valanka Alemao lost the assembly polls in Goa, on Thursday.
While Churchill Alemao was defeated by AAP's Venzy Viegas in Benaulim, Valanka Alemao lost to the BJP's Ulhas Tuenkar Navelim.
Valanka Alemao lost by a margin of 430 votes, according to the Election Commission. Benaulim and Navelim were the only two seats where the TMC had held a chance.
Churchill Alemao and his daughter had switched over to the TMC from NCP in December. The party, which contested the Goa assembly elections for the first time this year, failed to make a mark in the state.
The party took a plunge into Goa's electoral politics a few months before the polls, held on February 14, and contested in 26 seats in alliance with the MGP, the state's oldest regional outfit.
