The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results for the UPSC Civil Services exam 2021 on May 30. Shruti Sharma, a student of history, has topped the civil services examination in 2021, with the first three rank holders being women. Shruti, an alumnus of St Stephens College and Jawaharlal Nehru University, had been preparing for the UPSC exams at Jamia Millia Islamia Residential Coaching Academy. Ankita Agarwal and Gamini Singla have secured the second and third rank respectively.
Candidates can check their results at upsc.gov.in. The mark sheet will be available on the site within 15 days. This year a total of 685 candidates have been recommended based on their performance in the exams and personality tests. Of these 508 are men and 177 women. A total of 749 vacancies were reported. Sharma has graduated in History (Hons.) from the University of Delhi.
Agarwal, a graduate in economics (Hons.) from the University of Delhi, secured the second rank with political science and international relations as her optional subject. Singla, a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in computer science, stood third in the rank with sociology as her optional subject, the UPSC said.
The main exams were conducted from January 7 to 16, 2022; and the interviews were conducted from April 5 to May 26.
