Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Tuesday, reiterated his claim that his minister Satyendar Jain is innocent and the case against him is "false."
Defending Jain, the Delhi CM said allegations against the minister are false, and claimed that Jain is honest and is a patriot.
"We are hardcore honest and patriots, we will rather die than betray the country. We cannot sell our soul," he said.
"I myself saw his papers, the allegations against him are false," the CM said, and added that it was Jain's politics that got him arrested.
Kejriwal said if there was at least one per cent truth in the allegations made against his minister, he would have taken action against him long back.
He said several AAP MLAs, including himself, have faced cases. Asserting that "the truth always wins", the CM exuded confidence that Jain would be cleared soon.
Jain has been sent to Enforcement Directorate's custody till June 9 by a court in Delhi for questioning. The ED had on Monday arrested the Delhi health minister under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
