A Delhi Court has extended health minister Satyendar Jain's judicial custody by 14 days in a money laundering case. The Court is expected hear his bail plea on Tuesday.
The Enforcement Directorate arrested the Delhi minister on May 30 after the agency took a case in relation with a CBI case registered in 2017. In recent searches conducted by the agency, ED said that it has seized several incriminating documents and digital records in relation with the case.
ED said that they had seized Rs 2 Crore in cash and 1.8 kilos of gold in raids conducted at Jain's and at that of persons related to him. The ED case was registered in connection with a CBI case taken against the minister for accumulating disproportionate assets. The minister is accused of laundering money through four companies in which he is shareholder.
