Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday took a dig at NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, saying he had never heard her voice. Yadav said they don't want a “statue” in the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
"We don't want any statue in Rashtrapati Bhavan, we are electing the president. You must have always heard Yashwant Sinha but we have never heard the voice of the presidential candidate of the ruling party," he said, reported NDTV.
Yadav further noted that Murmu has not held a single press conference after she was named the NDA candidate for presidential elections.
The RJD has already extended its support to opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha while its ally JMM has announced its support to Murmu.
The voting for the presidential poll is scheduled to be held on July 18 and counting on July 21. June 29 is the last date for filing the nomination.
