SSVM Transforming India Conclave sows seeds of inspiration in young minds

Coimbatore-based SSVM Group of Institutions organized a three-day “Transforming India Conclave‘22” in a befitting manner in its Mettupalayam Residential School campus from September 1 to 3 to commemorate its 25th year of educational excellence. Over the years, these institutions have created thousands of brilliant youngsters who have strong foundation in technology, and, deep roots in tradition and cultural values. The Schools located in Coimbatore & Mettupalayam offer world class education across a wide range of streams from CBSE & NIOS to Cambridge Education.Its alumni have spanned across India and abroad, acting as its torch-bearers and settling down in lucrative career and entrepreneurship.

The event reflected the vision of the Founder and Managing Trustee Dr Manimekalai Mohan in honing the multifarious skills of students to mould them into socially responsible citizens. “Humility is the pristine quality of achievers and SSVM Institutions teach students to stay humble even when they succeed in life,” she said.

A dazzling array of eminent speakers who have made a distinct mark on the national and international scenario, shared their life experiences to motivate the students. Indian aerospace engineer and Padma Vibhushan awardee Mr. Nambi Narayanan related how 55 years ago ISRO had successfully developed the “payload recovery system,” with the barest minimum facilities even before India’s first rocket was a reality. Students should have the will power to launch themselves into the trajectory of success, he said.

Mr. Ashish Vidyarthi, actor and motivational speaker, said that every day holds promises and opportunities, provided students realize their amazing self. Those who want to change the world should be ready to adapt to change, he said.

The renowned Indian writer Mr Chetan Bhagat called upon students not to get distracted by modern gadgets and love. When they land up in jobs they could get girl friends; but by the virtue of having girl friends they could not get a job, he said.

Mr. C. K. Kumaravelu, CEO & Co-founder, Naturals Salon & Spa, urged the students to concentrate on PHD: P stands for passion, H for Hunger for achieving heart’s desire, and D for Discipline.

Ms Swathi Rohit, Founder & CEO, Health Basics, impressed upon the students the need to build good health by taking up physical activity and nutritious food. She emphasized on team work to achieve dreams.

Ms Pooja Srinivasa Raja, Director of Adayar Ananda Bhavan, said that becoming emotional was not a sign of weakness. It is fine to get emotional. Equal importance should be given to mental health and physical health, she said.

Lydian Nadhaswaram a musical prodigy gave a scintillating performance and kept the audience spellbound. Young environmentalist Prasiddhi Singh and Mohammad Asim of Kozhikode amply proved their points that age and physical disability would not be a deterrent for a determined mind.

During the concluding session, “Inspirational Guru Awards” were conferred upon teachers from various schools across the country who have made significant contribution for the cause of education. “Studentpreneur Awards” were given away to the viable business propositions of young and innovative minds.

The inspiring event interspersed with well choreographed cultural programmes was witnessed by thousands of students both physically &online.
