The woman whom Aftab Amin Poonawala reportedly dated after the murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walker told police that she had no clue about the crime he had committed. She said Aftab's behaviour seemed very normal and even caring.

The woman, reportedly a psychologist, told police that she had visited Aftab's home twice in October. Aftab never looked scared, she said, adding that he often used to tell her about his home in Mumbai.

Aftab met his new girlfriend on Bumble, the same dating app where he had met Shraddha. Police had contacted Bumble to access details of his profile and those of  other girls he might have contacted with.

The investigators have found that Aftab was in contact with 15-20 girls through different dating sites, reported ANI.

The probe team claims that Aftab first contacted his new girlfriend on May 30, around 12 days after he allegedly killed Shraddha. According to reports, the woman is currently undergoing counselling as she was found to be in a state of shock.

In her statement to the Delhi Police, Aftab's new friend revealed that he had a collection of different varieties of deodorants and perfumes. Aftab often used to give her perfumes as gifts.

The woman said Aaftab used to smoke a lot of cigarettes though he often used to talk about quitting smoking. He also used to roll his cigarettes himself, reported ANI.

The news agency further quoted her claiming in her statement that Aftab was very fond of different types of food and often used to order non-vegetarian food from different restaurants.

Police had earlier recovered a fancy ring from the woman which, she claimed, was gifted to her by Aftab. However, during the investigation, police found that the ring belonged to Shraddha.

Aftab allegedly strangled his live-in partner and chopped her body into over 35 pieces, which he kept in a 300-litre fridge for almost three weeks at his Mehrauli residence in South Delhi, before dumping them in different parts of a forest area over the next several days.

Though the murder allegedly took place on May 17, the bone chilling details of the crime started trickling out after November 12 following Aftab's arrest by the Delhi Police.
